Art donated to support women's safe house in Uganda

One of the cool things about being an abundantly prolific artist is that I get to donate artworks to great causes like this one: The Shanti Uganda Society. Started by a Vancouver midwife who traveled to Uganda to discover the startling sad statistic that 16 women die in childbirth each day there. She decided to open a women's safe house where they could give birth and live - hence the Shanti Uganda Society began. To raise funds for this great cause the organization is hosting their 6th annual evening of art (and food) this October 8th, 2014 at Heritage Hall ( Main/15th in Vancouver, BC). Tickets are available through www.eventbright.com. 100% of the proceeds go to the safe birth house in Uganda.
